In 2011, the theme at Vertex was growth. We opened new offices and expanded existing ones. We increased our workforce by a phenomenal 43%. We hit a milestone of 20,000 projects. These major benchmarks and milestones have made this a year to remember, but the fun doesn’t end with the new year. Even in the first weeks of 2012, the Vertex Construction Services side has acquired a Structural Engineering firm and is starting a Civil Engineering division in the Colorado office.
Aside from our growth, another trending 2011 story was education. Our experts’ knowledge was reinforced by the numerous educational speaking engagements, roundtable discussions and seminars Vertex was asked to participate in; including international engagements in the Energy and Environmental service areas.
Energy has been an emerging market in the >United States for the past few years, but even more so in 2011. The importance of this market coupled with the obvious fit of engineers and scientists at Vertex, we formed the Vertex Energy and Sustainability division.
Vertex is uniquely positioned with our highly educated and experienced staff, to provide a turn-key operation for our clients, no matter which service area they pursue. With these capabilities and our superior, quality product, Vertex is expecting to continue rapidly expanding in 2012 and through 2013.
