James B. O’Brien, LSP
Co-Founder

Mr. O'Brien is the co-founder of the family of VERTEX Companies and serves as President of VERTEX Environmental Services (VERTEX). Jim has a broad range of technical and management expertise in environmental consulting, remediation, construction management and risk management. In addition to serving as one of VERTEX’s LSPs, Jim has managed thousands of environmental site assessments, and remediation/redevelopment projects for some of the largest financial institutions in the world. These projects have been completed on industrial, commercial, and residential properties and have been geographically located throughout the United States, Latin America, Asia and Europe.

Jeffrey E. Picard
Co-Founder

Mr. Picard is the co-founder of the family of VERTEX Companies and serves as President of VERTEX Environmental Insurance Services and has been responsible for operational and business development since inception in 1995. Mr. Picard's responsibilities include establishment and initial management of new profit centers and divisions, direct client development and management, and overall revenue growth of the company. Mr. Picard also works on numerous technical projects in the construction and environmental fields.

William McConnell, Jr. P.E.
Co-Founder

Mr. McConnell is the co-founder of the family of VERTEX Companies and serves as President of VERTEX Construction Services. He has been responsible for managing its construction services since inception in 1995.

Mr. McConnell has experience with all divisions of construction and excels at large, complex and diversified files. With his civil engineering degree, professional engineering license, continuing education degree from M.I.T., experience managing large construction projects and hundreds of construction consulting files, Mr. McConnell makes a very strong expert witness and construction consultant.
