VERTEX assessed water damage throughout an approximately 6,500 square foot residential building with moisture detection, borescope and through indoor air quality parameters. It was determined that chronic water intrusion was caused by the incorrect construction of the exterior insulation finishing system (“EIFS”). VERTEX collected viable and non-viable air samples to assess potential airborne mold spore concentrations.
Based on interpretation of the laboratory analytical results, VERTEX developed a Mold Remediation Specification for submittal to remediation contractors. Additionally, VERTEX solicited competitive abatement proposals.VERTEX documented baseline moisture conditions, and monitored the remedial progress to ensure compliance with work specifications and industry standard abatement guidelines. Upon completion of remediation, VERTEX performed the post-remedial clearance inspections.
