VERTEX was retained by a commercial line insurance carrier to complete initial reconnaissance of a 5,000-gallon release of hydrochloric acid from a tanker truck rollover accident. The release impacted a sensitive receptor wetland area adjacent to the roadway. VERTEX closely documented remedial response actions at key milestones. VERTEX performed invoice reviews and subsequently negotiated significant cost reductions to remedial contractor and county fire department invoicing based on our detailed documentation gathered during our monitoring activities. The savings were more than 10 times the fees for our services.
