VERTEX was retained by an insurer to review landfill operations at numerous sites in Florida. The work was required to support underwriting activities for pollution liability and landfill closure insurance policies. VERTEX reviewed current regulatory information and compliance documentation. Working closely with the insured and their insurance broker, VERTEX inspected each property and evaluated risk. Based on the results of the inspection and the compliance review, VERTEX prepared a comprehensive Loss Control Report for the underwriter that summarized environmental risk. In addition, VERTEX provided the insured with specific recommendations to reduce environmental risk at each property.
