VERTEX was originally contracted by the financing company for an industrial manufacturer to conduct environmental due diligence of a lighting manufacturing plant for the purpose of a construction loan. Through the due diligence process, soil and groundwater contamination was identified.
VERTEX was retained by the manufacturer to conduct the remediation of the site and manage site demolition and redevelopment. México is developing remediation policies and procedures and this site is one of the first to be brought through the regulatory system based on the new regulations. The job has been managed on time and on schedule.
Through use of our joint US and México management teams, VERTEX has been able to successfully work with a US based manufacturer to remediate the site in México. New regulations were implemented and followed successfully.
