VERTEX implemented an initial environmental assessment of a property that was impacted from an adjacent metal manufacturing facility in New Jersey. During the VERTEX subsurface investigation, surface soil was found to be impacted by heavy metals from the factory’s historic airborne exhaust.
VERTEX performed a Soils Management Investigation to characterize and delineate the soil impacts at the site. VERTEX developed and implemented a strategy to obtain vertical profiling data utilizing real time on-site mobile laboratory. As part of an interactive team including the construction management professionals, VERTEX’s client (confidential) and regulatory agencies, VERTEX was able to develop reasonable and effective soil management practices to facilitate the development of the property.
