VERTEX was contracted by a multi-national industrial facilities owner to assist in a relocation of a copper tube manufacturing plant. The plant was located in rural China and was planned to be relocated to Monterrey, México. VERTEX's staff from China conducted a site visitation and review of operations to assess the attributes relevant to its potential effect on the environment.
VERTEX's Mexico staff then reviewed this information and advised the client of permit requirement and possible building design requirements that may be necessary based on Méxican regulations. Specifically, VERTEX identified all substances or products to be employed that may cause an environmental impact. Additionally, VERTEX estimated emissions, discharges, and waste expected to be generated as well as the control measures to be carried out.
VERTEX was able to use resident professionals in China and Mexico to save time and costs for the client. VERTEX also provided the client with a clear understanding of design and permit requirements necessary in Mexico for the plant relocation.
