Vertex’s subsidiary, Optistar, extracted data (including metadata) from native files that were identified by Client as relevant to a litigation matter, converted the native files to image formats, applied bates numbers and created a log for privileged documents. Following data collection, formatting, conversion and indexing, data was integrated with the client’s litigation support software so files could be readily shared with the parties to the matter.
