Licensed Site Professional Service
1 Property, 2 Underground Storage Tanks (UST)
Vertex performed Licensed Site Professional Services associated with a large scale release of Number 6 Fuel from two USTs located on-site. Impacted soil and residual product was removed from the outside of the building and below the accessible portions of the basement slab. The site remained in compliance with MADEP by Vertex submitting Phase I through Phase IV documentation and a Class C RAO with an Operation and Maintenance Plan that includes product removal through existing monitoring wells and continued bi-annual groundwater monitoring. This method of site closure presents a significant cost savings to the client compared to building demolition and excavation and removal of impacted materials. Local authorities are also pleased by this result due to the historical significance of the building structure.
